All library lessons have incorporated Common Core Standards and School Library Standards under the California Department of Education. 

Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten:
We will be working on book care, creative stories, the difference between fiction and non-fiction and library behavior. 
 
First Grade:
We will be working on book care, library behavior, difference between fiction and non-fiction (real versus make believe), parts of a book.  
 
Second Grade/Third Grade:
We will focus on book care, library behavior, proper library book shelving, fiction versus non-fiction, comparing different books about similar subjects. 
 
Fourth Grade/Fifth Grade:
We are going to be focusing on library behavior, book care, proper library book shelving, research techniques, comparing different books about similar subjects, fiction versus non-fiction, biographies. 
 
I am very excited to implement many different lesson plans to supplement skills they are learning in their classes.
